The AMR Intervarsity Training Programme, are a youth-centred initiative based in Nigeria that trains undergraduate students on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and supports the creation of AMR Clubs to promote the responsible use of antimicrobials across the country

In 2024, they received a small grant from Stop Superbugs

Recruited 25 undergraduates from five universities completed a five-month AMR training programme, including access to a specialist antimicrobial stewardship course delivered in partnership with Oazis Health (another member of the Stop Superbugs Network!)

AMR Club Formation: AMR Clubs were successfully launched in all five universities

Community Outreach: Supported by the programme, student-led clubs conducted AMR awareness campaigns in schools, hospitals, religious institutions, and markets
